Commercial establishments have always tried to attract pedestrians’ attention through the senses: a shop window, loud music, etc. However, Can Graupera captivates through smell.
On Carrer de Sant Simó, it has been Christmas since 1895. On this date a family business was born dedicated to the craft elaboration of the main sweets of these festivities, wafers and nougat, but also expert in traditional chocolates and biscuits.
The fourth generation of this centennial company has now managed to turn the wafer, one of the oldest desserts in the Mediterranean, into the base of a wide variety of gastronomic treasures. It might be said today that Can Graupera is more a food craft workshop than a grocery store.
